i have a 70 with the long narrow cluster, does the later cluster with the square speedo and round gauges interchange. actually thinking about a fastlanewest or redline custom cluster and dont want to drop the coin without being sure
thanks!

never tried, but i would say no. the hole for the square setup is going to be alot smaller.

johnthegoalie,

No the "Duster" style cluster will not fit into your '70 Dart dash frame. However, you could swap dash frames as they are interchangeable. I have a '71 Dart GT that will someday have a '70 Duster dash frame and the custom gauge cluster in the attached picture:

its probably a pain in the ***, but how bad is it to change the frame?

i wouldnt think it would be too hard to do aslong as you have the windshield out

It's been a while since I pulled the dash frame from my 71 Demon, but I remember there being two bolts on either side of the bottom. There are what looks like 5 bolts under the wind shield. That is going to be the only real problem...if your wind shield is in place. It seems almost worth it tho, for the cluster you could have...

Here is a pic of the Cluster I modified for my Duster. I used the Autometer Mini Gauge package...I think they were 1.5" or something like that...

it might not come out as cool in real life as it does in my head - parts and materials are being gathered, more to come :)
