Well not to long ago I did the amp gauge bypass and upgraded my entire charging system with a higher output alternator. So the stock amp gauge on the dash was useless. And for some reason my stock temperature gauge would always read right under the H even though the motor wasn't that hot. The previous owner told me not to pay attention to it because it is wrong. Volts, water temperature, and oil pressure. So I decided to buy some external gauges to mount under the dash. Just like to show you how it turned out. I don't ever get to do much to my car because money is tight around here right now. I will eventually remove the entire dash a restore it but that will be later.

Great looking car! I have the same problem with my temp gauge, it reads too high. I have purchased guages & a tach, but have not installed them. Your install looks nice. I was looking at mounting mine in the same spot.

Well thank you sir. Our cars would be twins if you didn't have the stripe and hood scoop. I'm eventually going to get a stripe on the car. It will be the 70 AAR CUDA stripe. Like this:

Yep, the stripe will make a nice difference. However, a guy in a 73 cuda was ribbing me for using a 70's colour, but hey it's a great colour. My challenger was the same colour.

The scoop I have wouldn't have been my choice, I would have preferred the sixpack scoop. It's a dual snorkel that was more popular on the Dusters. They did do a great job, even lipping the hole in the hood, so it will probably stay.

I didn't pick the color of my car but bought it that way. That fellow with the 73 probably had a red or blue car and he was thinking "Man I wished I painted mine that color" the whole time. You know how it is when someone tries to put what ever you have down because they think theirs is lousy.:-D
