I would check out the 20:1 manual box from Firm Feel. It’s a good upgrade over the stock 24:1

What do you recommend on ratios? How much is it and do you need a core

There is no core they are new production. The 16:1 steering is a fast ratio that was available from the factory and was the performance box.

Only drawback is at speed of less than 5 mph (parking lot speed) it will take more effort to steer.

20:1 is a good compromise between the fast ratio and standard ratio. If you have wide tires, the 16:1 gets a little tiresome.
