Gear Ratio

[Problem Child]

Have a 76 dart Swinger with a thirity over 360. Using a Lunati Bracket Master II cam with 488 lift and 230 dur. The cam maker says it works from 2-5500 rpm. Haven't decided on the type rear yet. So If I run a 26 inch tire for some street driving and a little track time, what gear do you suggest

With 26 inch tires you will spin them with ease.Find the tallest and widest tire you can fit in the wheel well and then we can pick a gear.If its a streetcar with a 80/20 split at the track and you do not wisg to change pigs when you get there,you will land up with a 3.73 or a 3.55,or even a 3.91 set up.With the tall tire you get some high way speed out of it and you will not spin as much.mrmopartech

I'm running a 26 x12.50 tyre and 4:30m gears with a 4 speed and find it to be a good over all combination but I don't do any interstate driving
