Looking. For a glove box light assembly with a possible part number
2947824
This is for my 1984 Dodge full size van. I can get it to work but it is not reliable and worn out.
Thank you.

The only online search result for your part number comes back to this thread. 2947924 is shown in the '78-'81 truck catalog for B-vans.

The part number you probably need is what's printed on the side: 4221237. It looks like it was used until the end of B-van production in 2003, but I don't have a first year. All my muscle-era stuff has a built-in power lead and no ground lug, including 2947924, which is (also) the E-body glove-box lamp. If your dash structure is metal, that should work... but you'll be outbidding the Cuda/Challenger crowd if one comes up on eBay--the last one I found brought $100 Canuck. If the area where it anchors is plastic, then you need the 4221237 for the ground lug.

Mine does anchors in metal plus has a ground lug and ground wire also. Chrysler must had not been so confident with the spring clip. The part number listed is actually for a 94-98 Ram pickup. I pulled that off Megamopar.com site I believe it was.
GM used a very similar switch but want $36us for it. Amazon and eBay list those for the GM with a pigtail.
If I cannot get a good one I’m going to make one with a led and momentary switch. Just trying to take the easier route. Side note that switch looks a lot like the one for my Demon but in not pulling it out to check- because it works lol perfectly. Don’t mess with what’s not broke.

The part number Mopar's system shows for the '97 Ram is 56021450. It's pretty close to what your picture shows: No lead and two slide terminals, but the metal clip is black. There are both an NOS one and a used one on eBay at the moment. Used is $18.95 with free shipping while NOS is $35 plus $13.35 shipping. However, the NOS one's been listed since late January of 2022, so maybe he's willing to deal to be rid of it.

I went the used switch off eBay. Thank you for the help. I was hoping someone on here has a good used or new one but if it fits a challenger then it will be too rich for my blood. lol!
