okkkkkkkkkk so I am thinking about merging a duster grille together with a 73 dart grille I am going to use some metal and screws but what glue works good bonding the grilles together? somthing like below I just did that real quick

Thats a hard one. Glue does not like to hold a butt joint very well. Mabby some kind of epoxy will work but make sure it is sandable/shapable. I fixed my grill after if broke with some Zap-A-Gap. It is a sandable super glue made just for plastic But I don't think it will work for what yu are doing. If you had some smaller areas that are not butt joints or some cracks, chips, or gaps that needed filled it would work good. One thing that will help the strangth of the butt joint is to put some scrap plastic on the back side of the joint that briges the gap. That will help a lot.

zap a gap ok...... i am planning on screwing strips of metal to all three pieces and then using an apoxy to fill in the seams if I can sand and use ZAG like a filler then we are on the right track

I fixed a busted place in mine with fiberglass resin and strips of wood (to replace missing slats). It seems pretty strong and is sandable and paintable. You could use small strips of fiberglass cloth or mat for reinforcement.
