Going Big Bolt Pattern Wheels

Got my 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern wheels and tires. Rears are 15x7 with 4.5 backspace from US Wheel. Fronts are 15x6 with 3.75 inch backspace from Wheel Vintiques. Rear tires are 255/60-15 and fronts are 215/70-15. Tires are 27 inches tall. Summit Racing had it all sitting in their Ohio warehouse as regular stock.
Waiting on Doctor Diff to build me a Dana 60 with 10.7 rear disc. And waiting for Doctor Diff to get the 11 3/4 inch front disc kit back in stock. Waiting. So moved wheels tires into home office so I can smell new tires for next 6-8 weeks maybe longer while waiting.

Very nice. Question though. Why choose 15x7 for 255/60R15? I run that size tire on the rear of my Duster on 15x8s and those seem to be a really nice combo for handling by keeping the sidewall a little straighter and the tread a little flatter at higher psi (32 psi).

Yes 15x8 a little better for 255 tire. The 15x7 with 4.5 backspace were in stock and will work so ordered them. Doctor Diff recommended either 15x7 with 4.5 backspace or 15x8 with 5 inch backspace. 15x8 with 5 inch backspace is a special order wheel with 4-6 week wait while the 15x7 was a regularly stocked wheel. So went 15x7.

Ah yes the classic you can’t get what you need unless it’s custom and you can burn thru 2 sets of tires and still be ahead with the 15x7 vs buying the custom wheel.

I’m wanting to go 15x9 on Duster with 275/60R15 but in a pro star style wheel. Can’t get them in knock off China made. But real ones can be bought special order from the real deal for $420 a piece… nah lol
