No, not for good. Going on vacation ... to London! Never been overseas before. Going with the wife and our two college age kids. Probably the only time I'll go overseas. Pretty much put the Barracuda project on hold for the last six weeks saving dollars to eventually turn into British pounds.
Bringin' my camera. If I find any Mopars, I'll shoot you guys (and gals) some pictures. I'll have FABO withdrawals for a week. Tally Ho!!

cliff, have a wonderful time! Are you going anywhere besides London? If you can get up to the Midlands or out to the Southwest coast (Bath & Poole), I highly recommend it. You should try and hook up with 1 or 2 of our British members and see if they can suggest some sites/events (perhaps a Mopar show - if one is taking place during your visit). ;)

While there ask some of the commoners what they think of our president or lack of. Be interesting to know what they think of the guy selling us out. Let us know. Thanks and you have a bunch of fun and watch out for terrorists.

Good luck! There is a lot of Mopars in England. Sometimes you can run across some odd right hand drive A-bodies there!

Enjoy your stay. It's a beautiful country

I,ve been over 3 times. It,s beautiful! You have to check out the Crown jewels from centuries of Kings and Queens. They,re quite the site.Enjoy some chips! Also the meat pies are to die for!

You have a great time cliff, I have been gone for 6 days and the FABO withdrawals kick in about the second day :-D
I have never been out of the USA ether, So bring us back some good memories and pictures to share.

Enjoy

Hi guys....Got back last night. Sorry, didn't see any Mopars other than a couple of Grand Cherokees, a Grand Caravan, a 300, and a couple of Dodge Ram trucks. Saw a single Chevy. Saw an empty Cadillac-Hummer-Corvette showroom --- TWO TIMES EMPTY. Saw lots more exotics per capita there than here in the SF Bay Area ... saw an Aston Martin maybe every fifteen minutes, lots of Jags, saw maybe four or five Ferraris each day. Saw two 1000 HP Bugatti Veyrons in one day! Attached is a picture of one, along with some others. But in London, taxis rule the streets!

A local said it was the best summer weather he could remember in the last three years. We bailed out before a heat wave hit, good thing since many places lack A/C in London. People are more courteous and friendly than I would have guessed.

Ate bangers and mash, shepherd pie, and fish and chips. Saw the U.S. Mens National Soccer team upset Spain in a tournament televised in a big sports bar, most of the Brits were chanting "U-S-A!, U-S-A!,...."

My only gripe is that the dollar is still weak relative to the British Pound, so it feels like our dollar is worth about 75 cents, everything is more expensive there than here. Aside from that, we had a great time, would go back again!

Here's pictures of Big Ben, House of Parliament, the town of Bath, Windsor Castle, the British Museaum of Natural History, some other random sights.

Glad you had a nice time cliff. It's a great place to visit. We went there in 2000 for 2 weeks. My Mum and all her family are from there. Got to meet some cousins I never met before and spent a whole week sight seeing. Had a great time. Even found a suburb in London that is the same as my last name.

What did you think of all the flower gardens? Seemed everywhere we went we saw them all around. When we arrived my uncle was working on getting their flower garden in top shape cause they had the house for sale and said a flower garden can make or break a sale. Go figure. LOL

The flower garden from above is at Windsor Castle. I only saw one other small garden, a public garden in a small neighborhood park, also nicely manicured. I hoped we'd have time to see Kew Garden, but ran out of time.

If I'm not mistaken Kew garden is pretty big and you walk through it like the Botanical gardens in St. Louis. If that's the one we went there. It was neat. We went to so many places it's hard to remember the names. My old farts memory don't help either. LOL
