I'm breaking in my engine this way on the dyno when its done. Not necessarily because of the article, that does reinforce it, but Ive seen so many documentary's on factories and they definitely run them hard before it leaves the factory ( like the one on the Honda Goldwing), also the last Mazda3 and only new car Ive bought had zero break-in, they said run it like you intend to drive it, not even an oil change.
