Good head gasket?

What would be a good choice for a 360 la with iron heads and 12:1 compression? I don't want to spend more than 50-70 dollars. I was thinking the mopar thins again but they say 12.5:1 max. I think 12:1 is pushing the limits.

Better O ring and get copper with only 10 head bolts.

BJR, I am clueless about o-ring head gaskets. Do you need to do block prep or anything? If I do then it's not an option for me. Any other ideas?

Yes theres block and head work, the next step would be cometic's or race fel-pro.

ive read a lot of good things about the cometics but havent used them as of yet i will be using them on my next build unless someone convinces me otherwise.

how about the milodon copper gaskets. They can be used with or without o-rings? Says no o-ring needed unless you are running 14:1 or higher

my 360 statics at 12.5:1 and I have used the cometics with no issues except a little coolant weepage until I ran it in and got it good and warm. I recommend them except for the price: $90/ea. Ouch!
