I am looking for a good honest shop in the state of Florida. I live in Tampa, but I am willing to travel to the correct shop. I have had my 72 Demon at a couple of different shops and although they have done some good work and some bad work overall, I have not been pleased with it. Does anyone know a good shop that can handle a classic car that has been modified? I need someone that is skilled in the aftermarket and modifications as far as the engine is concerned.

I have a local friend who's very good, but that's a long haul from you.

That's gonna be a tough one, what kind of engine work are you talking about?

Stay away from G&D Musclecars. Decades of shady things with them.

You ain't kiddin.

And look at their ebay ads they post now. Crazy prices, false claims like "only one left", repost items with 25-33% price swings trying to manipulate market.

remember when they had workers/relative post here on FABO in disguise not under G&D ?? Always hiding something. Even when it seemed not necessary.

There was a loopy girl who worked with them that was a member here always acting like she was hittin on the guys so they'd buy stuff.......Amanda was her name. I don't remember her screen name though. Seems like it had G&D in it maybe. I remember because she ended up taking BigBoy68 (SuperDart426) (RIP) for some dough and some parts. It was sad really, because he thought she was really in love with him.

I'm always leery or girls named Amanda.

I always think- "I used to be a man.....duh".

Josh Hart / Burnyzz is his business in Ocala FL, they have a website that you can check out. Good luck with your search.

Where is your friend located? I’m totally serious about trying to get the car to somebody that knows what they’re doing and that will give me an honest price. I’m not looking for anything for free I’m willing to travel for the right person. I’ve been taken by a couple of shops down here and had a bad experience with the both of them.

I know this doesn’t sound like much but the type of work I’m looking for is I’m having an overheating issue that I cannot seem to overcome. I don’t know if it’s an internal friction problem or what. I also have a serpentine belt system by March and I’m having problems getting the belt to lineup proper so it keeps eating through belts, squealing, etc.. I’ve been over the instructions enough times working almost recite them. I called their tech line and they weren’t much help. I’m also having a few other issues but those are the main issues. The car is in pristine condition completely restored from the bottom up so it’s not a piece of junk or a rust bucket or anything like that. I’m just trying to get it finished.

He's in Haddock, Georgia. Same county as me. Don't you remember coming to my house to bring me Bruce's car to work on for him?
