Currently have B&M megashifter looking for something that can be shifter via an electric solenoid and rpm switch.

There are plenty of shifters out there that can be shifted that way. My only suggestion would be let you budget be your guide.

I use the B&M pro ratchet shifter with a digital delay shift timer and shiftnoid shift solenoid. It has been my experience that shifting by time is more consistent than by rpm.

I don't use an air or electronic shift, but I've got a couple of B&M pro ratchets, and I really like em.
As tvt59 points out, they can be used with automatic shift mechanisms.

Turbo action is bullet proof, but not idiot proof. Ask me how I know.
Cheetah shifter? I love mine but not sure it would work with an air solenoid? Likely I'm just not familiar with that type of setup as it's well above anything in my et world!

I've never rrbheard of that I'll have to look into it. So what happens if you spin at the line?

I think a cheetah can be configured to make ONE shift with a air or electronic shift, whether 1-2 or 2-3, I'm not sure.
I reconfigured my 727 cheetah for a powerglide, air probably would have worked well.

I have a cheetah shifter( turbo action) dedenbaer makes a CO2 shifter for it that makes both shifts.
I always used hurst 1/4 sticks before. I have come to like this one.
I have the command console and utilize the switches on it. Nice unit.

PPP, B&M Pro Bandit. They've worked well in in my cars...

Turbo Action Cheetah , I have had mine in the car for over 35 years still using the original cable. I am thinking of converting to an air shifter over the winter , I can use my current shifter and just add the air and electric components . Biondo Racing has everything needed.

If you spin the tires it will effect the et more if you shift by rpm than it will if you shift by time. If you got to the big buck races and look in the cars. 95% of them shift by time. My AMX is defiantly more consistent shifting on time.

They make a kit for the Cheetah shifter for the 1-2 and the 2-3 shifts. But it's only available using air. That's why I use the Pro Ratchet shifter because you can use electric or air. I like electric myself

Thanks. What type of device is used to trigger the shift?

If you have a K&R Pro Cube delay box with the timers you can use that. I use a Digital Delay timer. It's very versatile it will start the time sequence two different ways. You can set it so that when the engine passes a preset rpm it will start the timer. you can use this function if you foot brake. When we footbrake race I set the timer to start at 5500 rpm. We stall the engine to 3000 rpm, when I stand on it when the engine goes past 5500 rpm the timer starts. 1.65 seconds later it shifts 1-2 3.95 seconds later it shifts 2-3.
When we're box racing I set it so the timer starts when the transbrake releases. It's a pretty cool system.

Looks like I would just need power and a tach signal. Just what I was looking for thanks!
