BOF,
We just wanted to say goodbye, we still love you and will miss you. You were there in a very difficult time in our lives when you were our only mode of transportation at times.
It has been a love hate relationship at times, but that was mainly due to you being misstreated before you came here to recover. After 800 hrs labor, too many $'s spent, my blood spilled on you several times, and causing many family arguments over parts vs. money, we have grown to love, care for, and respect you. You have become a very presentable lady and I have really been enjoying driving you for the last 10 months sense we got you fixed up.
You came here broken and beat. You turned on us the very first night by blowing engine mounts in the drive way and almost sending me and you through the back wall of the garage.
ABB named you "Veronica" and made your show sign with that name on it that you still fly at shows up till now....
It was real soon after you got here that you forced me to find FABO because ABB and I were convinced you were posessed with so many technical problems I knew nothing about or had to be reminded by FABO's members on how to DIY!! I changed your name to;
Bride
Of
Frankenstien
and everyone wanted to always know what BOF was! LOL!!
We felt the same way about you too. We knew nothing of you before you got here. I cared for you more than anyone but sometimes you can be a *****! LOL!!!:toothy10:
We still love you though, you kind of grew on us.

Well, today we send you off out into the world, from our stables, with thoughts of admiration, respect and a huge Thank You for being there one last time for us. By striking out on your own, you saved the farm. We'll be able to stay here now for a while longer and for that we Thank You!!!

Don't worry though. Your new Mom & Dad seem like very nice people, who were destined to own you. Once you here all the details you'll understand. You won't even miss ABB and me anyway. You'll get to your new home and instead of being 1 of 5 kids, you'll be the only one! Spoiled rotten I'll bet!! You new dad already got you a brand new car cover, lock knobs and is planning on spending all day this Wednesday under you, giving you the once over!! You're going to love it there!!!:love4:

Before you go, I'm removing your trailer hitch so Lump can have it now. Your new dad told me there was going to be no more beast of burden for you, he has a truck. Guess you won't be in the junk yard for 2 days hauling muddy parts before a show anymore! LOL!!
Also wanted to say thanks for starting the

CAR HUNT!8)

thread with me too. It was, is, and will continue to be alot of fun, even though you are retiring and will not be contributing to the thread anymore. I have invited your new parents to join us here on FABO. We hope they will choose to stop in and see what FABO is all about. Maybe they can even catch up on your yet as unknown "Celebrity Status" here at FABO too!! LMAO!!:toothy10:

Anyway enough tears in my beers. At least you won't get me any more speeding tickets in a blizzard anymore.
ROLL ON BOF!!
Here's to ya girl, long may you live and breathe that MOPAR fire you got within!!!

Here's a few of the last pics we got of you today. Glad Fern was running so we could finally get that family picture before you go. Well run forever girl, we'll miss ya!:clock:
Love, your foster parents,
ABB & Me.
Hope to see you again sometime..........AND BE GOOD AT YOUR NEW HOUSE!!!!!8)

Last bath, fluid levels check, spare parts in trunk, you're ready to roll on!!

I am sure BOF will be happy, I sure have enjoyed your threads and glad you found a good home for her.

You've done all you can for her, now it's time to send her off into the world to experience life for herself. She will always remember all of the times you shared, and know that she's in the good care and capable hands of someone who loves her!!! As the parent must now trust the child, know that she's going to do you proud!!! You dun good folks, she's gonna be alright!!! Geof

I understand your attachment to B.O.F. Goodbye's are very difficult for me too.

By the way the photos of all 5 cars together are really impressive, years from now you will be able to remember a great time.

I was going to ask what B.O.F. was, I see now. I was thinking something else we use that acronym for in the military.

Thanks for saying!
The new dad said on the phone when first comming to look at her, that him and his wife were on their way to our local speedway. ABB said when I hung up with them that sense they were real race fans, that they would be her new owners as soon as they took her for a test drive.
As usual, she was right.

Still had kinda of a ruff time yesterday after BOF left. It's just not going to be the same around here, but now I will be able to spend more time restoring Fern & Lump! It's amazing how down in the dumps I felt yesterday when all I did was dream of selling her for the past 4 weeks. Her sale could not have been more perfectly timed though. We really needed the cash!8)

It should have never ended this way. That's all I got to say.

I know man, it is what it is. I'm sure I'll regret this for a long time.
Once again Thank You for trying to help us. We really appreaciated the effort, and no one has ever cared about us so much. We need alot more like you in all our lives.
On the bright side she is the ONLY star at her new house and will be getting even more attention than I could even give her of late. She will be treated very well I'm sure. Good grief!, she even has a car cover now! LOL!!
Your a great dude dustermaniac. Glad to be able to call you friend.
Hope to cross paths someday with ya when I'm down your way.
I hope you have a great day today!

Thank you for the kind words Geof.
You are totally right.
I sure am glad her new dad likes to go to the speedway. Even though he also said she was going to be pampered and he would only drive her in good weather for recreation, not junk yard runs and daily driving in the winter. BOF even escaped this up comming winter too!
Boy won't he be suprised when BOF runs him up to 90mph in the fast lane on the way home!! She's the type of girl who HAS to run, she don't like being passed!8)

We have been planning this pic op sense Clara our 69 came back home from our son's house. I am so glad we could get the shots before BOF left.
It's really cool to look over the changes in Dart designs over the years in person with the different body styles right next to each other. Good thing I just got Fern back up and running! I am SOOooo thankful to be able to get the pics before she left. I will cherish the pics probibly till I pass away. I told ABB we'll never see that many darts in our driveway at one time, ever again. WOW it was really fun with all the darts and FABO this past year.
You are right, I will be looking back on this period as good times even though they were so bad for us financially. Thanks to the Darts I have been able to maintain some sanity by beeing really busy.8)

It still is kinda sad to go from 20 doors back to 16!:-D

I agree with Dustermaniac- this sucks. Gotta do what ya gotta do, though; I certainly know how that goes.. Hang in there. Getting Fern and Lump back together should be therapeutic, anyway.

You know, Dr. Alfred Wight (better known by his penname, James Herriot) always said that the best therapy after losing a beloved pet was to get a new one as soon as possible.. :-D

The lady from the beginning of the

Guess I owe her a call!!8)
