Yes I took my 63 to its first track outimg today. My son took his Dart and my brother took a wheelstanding 63 Max Wedge ply. All in all a good day. It was so windy they only ran the 1/8 mile. Everyone was slow as my sons best is 11.55 or 7.33 in the 1/8 his best today was 7.48 and believe it or not my 63 ran the exact same on its first outing. Yep I got 2 good passes and went 7.48 at 90.89 mph with a 1.58 best 60 and pulled the left front wheel about 4 inches. I had a good time and we drove the 32 miles home with no broken parts. The 7.48 comes out to about 11.70 for the 1/4 so I hit my mark the first time out as I wanted a .030 over 440 with 10.0 comp and 906 iron heads to run mid to high 11's and run 93 pump so I can drive it anywhere including to the track. So my son and I can still talk smack since we ran the same. I hope we get back out to run a 1/4 mile track this year as we have to see who is faster. Here are a few pics. Ron

Im glad to hear your car runs as strong as you had hoped, and im even MORE glad that you broke nothing except for your expectations by a lil over or so.

Cars looking good man, and i too like your car on black steelies, looks mean and it brings out your transforming orangy-/-red paintjob we were all debating in your last thread!

Thanks for the pics!

Those Sport Furys are really cool. I wish I had one. Way to go 383man. Give 'em hell and change your name to 440man..lol. :headbang:

I`ve been waiting for this weekend to see if the Dart was going to spank ya`.I voted for your son earlier this month, lol! Glad to hear it was all good clean fun for you all. Ron you`ve got a lot of torque there twisting that body, do your doors still open and close/line up okay?

Thanks for the kind replies. Longgone you are right as this car leaves harder then any other car I have owned and after looking at the pics I wont be racing again until I put a rollbar in it to stiffen her up. It has frame connectors but I know my sons Dart really left straight after we put the bar in it as it stiffened it up alot and thats what I plan to do before I race it anymore. Ron

Ron you have a truly goodloking car! and its also fast and nothing broke, that must feel great!
