We kept our 2 yr 3 month old grandson tonight while his parents went out shopping. He wanted to see the train and I was getting it out of the closet he found my 70 Plymouth Cuda still in the box.

How could I say no! So tonight it left its protective packaging and will now be a toy for him to play with.

You know watching him play with that and learning how to open the doors hood and trunk was probably my best Christmas gift ever!
Hope everyone can have a start to the holiday season like this.

They are indeed a gift. My 5 yr old Grandson is spending the weekend, we just got done racing on the slot car track I bought last week.

thats funny. I went onto craigslist yesterday afternoon to look for a slot car set for him when he's here. My son never found cars interesting so this is such a pleasant thing for me. The first thing he says when he gets here is "grandpa lets watch racecars" so we spend time on you tube watching Drag racing! its such a gift to me!

Get the slot car drag racing set that they sell on Jegs! It even has two mopar pro stock cars.

Nice! My 6 year old son loves Plymouth Super Birds. The movie Cars helped with that.

you old geezers crack me up
just yesterday i put my 4 year olds slot car track away because he hardly ever used it

had it mounted to a 4X8 sheet of plywood and it was taking up way too much room

it was the dukes of hazard one, i bought it at the Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon

Who you callin' a geezer, you young whippersnapper. :poke:

It's funny how some kids are drawn to cars and others could care less. My Grandson gets here and one of the first things he does is go to the parts boxes to see if we got anything new. We keep the new parts that we are collecting in a corner in the house until they get used.

Very cool, thanks for sharing your special moment, I can tell from your post and pictures how proud you are :glasses7:

Aw that's cool, on a side note, he looks really grown up for his age.
