Great day out with my oldest son, roadtrip in the Swinger.

On Sunday, my oldest son and I jumped into the Dart and headed to Edmonton, to watch the drag racing. We made a round trip of 290 miles. The car performed flawlessly. Who would have thought a W2 head 408 would get 17.79MPG(IMP)? I am absolutely sold on the Edelbrock AVS2 800, model 1912, on the car. This combo greatly improved driveability over the 4150.

Have not been able to use the car as much as I'd like this season, so it made the day all that much better!

To cap off the day, my very good friend won the Wally in Superstock, driving his factory 1964 Plymouth Savoy 426 Max Wedge. He ran a 9.94 on a 9.94 dial, into a 30mph headwind.

Sunday was the perfect example of good friends, family, cool cars, and great weather! We were blessed.

There is, has been there since 92 if I recall the date on the mural. It is Tigger from Winnie the Pooh on a set of slicks doing a huge burnout. I'll look for a pic on my phone. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it was so well done I hate to destroy it. Next week the car gets a new AAR 6 pack hood, Tigger will then become wall art. My family would disown me if I sanded it off!!!!

Sounds like a great day! I've been running W2 heads on the street for years. They run awesome. I have the AVS2 750 on mine now. It runs great right out of the box.

I’ve got pictures of my oldest and him at 3 years old same thing 2hr trip one way in the Demon at Englishtown NJ - he is now 20 and that can no longer happen. Sadly Englishtown is closed. Enjoy the time- they grow up quick.
