I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is CJ and I'm from Virginia Beach. I still have the first Mopar I ever bought, a '71 Demon 340 that we're currently restoring, and an '83 Ramcharger 4WD.

Coming from a Mopar family, I've been a Mopar man since birth. I learned to drive in '68 Power Wagon Camper Special (Dad's) and ran my first 1/8-mile in a '69 Super Bee (Uncle's).

Our family Mopar history:

Dad
'68 Power Wagon Camper Special W200 (383 4-speed, bought new and now has a 440 727-auto 4" lift 40" Mickeys)
'03 Ram W350 (Cummings Diesel auto Dana 70's, bought new and added everything Banks makes for it)
'78 Arrow (2.6L 5-speed, bought new and added 440 727-auto Dana 60 tube chassis in '89 then sold in '91)
'79 Duster (318 727-auto, bought new and passed to my brother in '93 who wrecked it in '96)
'86 Conversion Van E250 (360 727-auto, bought new and sold in '03)

Uncle
'64 Dart GT convertible (273 4-speed, bought new and sold in '69)
'69 Super Bee (440 6-pack 727-auto Dana 60, bought new and sold in '87)
'09 Challenger R/T (Hemi auto, bought new)

Me
'71 Demon 340 (340 727-auto, bought in '83 and currently being restored)
'67 Coronet 500 (440 727-auto, bought in '85 and had to get rid of 3 days later after I did a burnout in Mom's driveway)
'78 Ramcharger 4WD (318 4-speed 4" lift 35" BFGs, got in a trade for the Coronet)
'83 Ramcharger 4WD (360 727-auto 4" lift 35" BFGs, bought in '93)
'07 MINI Cooper S (bought new, not a Mopar but damn fun to drive!)

Brother
'29 T-Bucket (340 A833 4-speed 8-3/4)
'96 Dakota 2WD (318 auto, bought new)

Brother In-Law - we converted him from Fords
'82 Ramcharger 4WD (360 727-auto Dana 70's 9" lift 38" Mickeys)

Others
'76 Custom Van E100 and '96 Town & Country (Mom), '93 Shadow ES and '03 Sebring (Sister)

I do have another sister though who we think was switched at birth, she only drives Nissans. I think that about covers it. We're pretty much strictly Mopars in our family. It's an ADDICTION!

Welcome to FABO CJ

Looks like a great family of gearheads. It doesn't get any better
than that.

You do understand that there is no known cure for this addiction.

Welcome to FABO from another Virginia member (up north and about 80 miles west of DC)

Welcome to FABO. I'm only about 45 minutes from you in suffolk,va with my two early a-bodies. Awesome site.

welcome cj, i used to live in va bch myself for about ten years. as a matter of fact still have my 71 demon stored out there at my buddies house. gotta get back in the fall to get it and drag it back with me. have fun with the website, it's a good once. peace

Welcome!
I'm on the beach, too. Except I'm on the tip of South Jersey.
What was Mom's problem with the burnout? Not enough smoke? :toothy10:
I liked those mid-90's 318 Dakotas, they were quick when set up w/ 2wd, short bed and trailer gears (3.90, I believe.) You could get a 5spd, but I've never seen one.
Bet you wish that 6 pack Bee was still around.

I want to thank everyone for the warm welcomes! It's great to see some local people on here too. Sorry I don't have pictures of all the Mopars we've owned but I did take some of the Demon and started a gallery to document the rebuild/restoration. I took it out for a pre-assembly bath today. It was the first time it has seen daylight in 4 years. I'll post a teaser here and the rest are in my gallery.
