Drivers side headlight harness..
Wondering if anyone can tell me where this attaches... There doesn't appear to be a bolt in the area it'll reach.

There should be a hole in the radiator support right in front of the battery. It's a ground.

There's this one, ground from negative battery terminal is attached there...and the harness wires won't reach that.

Questioning your wiring harness, that double wire ground should be on the other side of the radiator support.

In 67 the harness goes through core support and the grounds are on bolts running from front to back. One set on each side.

I expect something change from 67 to 72

I ended up removing harness from one of the "holders" on the firewall... It reaches the bolt on core support now between rad and battery.. but now I'm worried about it being on the wrong side..?? This harness does not look at all like it's been modified... completely original as far as I can tell.

The forward light harness can only attach the firewall bulkhead connector in one of the 3 positions. Here's a shot of my '69, yours should be close to this. There should be grounds on both sides.

And on that line, it's ALWAYS good to improve the battery to engine/ body ground. On a V8 you have the same holes on the rear of the driver's head as the front of the pass. side. Take a short bolt, buy a "Ford style" starter cable --eyelet to eyelet--a foot or 18" and ground it to the firewall. Either the master cyl. studs or a dedicated bolt through the firewall, with star washers

Other than lamps, two other components that suffer from poor grounding is the VR and if used, the Mopar electronic ignition ECU. Make certain they have good bolts, star washers.

Might not be a terrible idea to check continuity between that loose "ground" and the positive battery cable end, just to be "sure". lol

If you're not doing a concourse restoration, & it doesn't look like you are, ground it to wherever it reaches naturally, hopefully a pre-drilled or threaded bolt hole, as long as it's grounded good. Those toothed washers you have will help.

Are the horn connectors and Alternator connectors on the driver's side harness as you have it now?
