Bought my first iPhone today!

My old 8gb android was on its last leg. Had run out of storage space and I had already deleted everything possible.
Anyway got a 32gb iPhone 6 from Bestbuy. It was on sale for $199.
Like it so far, but just getting started. Will take a while to figure everything out.

I still have a LG, basic, flip phone. Texting is blocked - have over 500 numbers in memory - small, and handy to keep in pocket. Old fashioned, but works fine, for Me.

Although I had an iPhone from work (5s) starting about 5 years ago, I always kept my personal LG flip phone that I had forever. I finally had to stop using it last year when the battery went bad and started bulging eventually cracking the cover. I replaced it with a personal iPhone SE. Here is the old LG (still have it in a drawer)

getting 8 days on a single charge doesnt hurt either

Contract on my Galaxy S6 Edge expires in October. On the fence about getting another Smart Phone. I have a tablet that I normally use for internet surfing. The few folks that used to text me have stopped. Looked at the S8 just being curious, $32.50@month for a phone that I really don't have a use for seems a bit wasteful. I did find my old "military spec dust resistant, go ahead and drop me" flip phone. May just have it reactivated

Samsung SGH a847 Rugby II here -

- still using it - AND I have a spare one if/when mine dies!!! I have 4 people on my plan - costs me less $130 a month... "old school", "cheap" - yep, guilty. :D

And here i thought you were going to announce you bought your first Harley!:poke::lol:

Well actually I guess I can't claim to be a yuppie, since I'm not young, not upwardly mobile, and not a professional.

Oh well, back to our regularly scheduled program.

I have never owned a phone. Company provides. Went to work for Otis and they didn't have one available for 2 weeks they asked how to get ahold of me for dispatching and I pointed at the number on the form and she said "isn't that your home number". I said yes, guess I will be at home if you need me. They mysteriously found a phone the next day.

I have an iphone6 plus. Great computer, crappy phone. But I hate talking on the phone anyway, and maybe do it a few times a month tops.

I rather someone send a text or email.

iPhone 6 is pretty cool.
I've got one. Don't use 3/4 of what it can do. Some things are neat, but totally useless, like Garage Band, iBooks, Health, Stocks and a few others.
I did download a few apps that I use.
Turn the blue tooth and hot spot off, unless you use it all the time and the battery should last you a couple days.

Thanks for the tips. Just checked Bluetooth and hotspot are off.

Only thing I find a little annoying is having to go to the numbers keyboard to get a period or a comma.

Try the F-18 Carrier Landing App. It is one of the best games I have ever played on a phone.
