It seems my 1969Dart GTS was built on 4/01/69. 40 years old today :eek:ccasion:

Your Dart was biult on April Fools day - that's cool. Didn't by chance nickname it the Joker did you?

Happy b'day Dart! I wish I knew 'Goldie's' birthday. If you don't mind, can you tell me how to find out?

Mine was built/born April, 1971, but I haven't seen the exact day listed anywhere.
Happy Birthday to yours, though; I like "The Joker" name idea.

Its pretty neat how they break it down like that huh :joker:

Congratulations 17remfan, what did you get for her/his birthday? :eek:ccasion: , August 28, `67 the summer of love for mine. :love4:

Got it new brakes ,fix gauges, cap, rotor, new plugs ,gas filter.motor mounts. New belts trunk seal gasket... new tach.. need a trunk mat and thats about all it needed. wood wheel and wood tipped door lock knobs lol..

Im really looking forward to driving it some . Ive only had it a short time. my friends seem to like the car very much .

Maybe next year a fresh rebuild on the engine .Its tempting to add a 408 crate but shes matching numbers so I wont ..

Sounds like a good birthday for the DART!!! :happy7:

My Dart was built Feb 24, and every year I wish her Happy Birthday. I bought her May 30th 1986, and every year I wish her Happy Anniversary...my wife thinks I have mental issues. This isn't Mopar related...but it is related to 17remfan's comment about how cool it must have been in the factory when these cars were being built. I live in Edison NJ...about 1/2 mile from the old Ford plant. I remember Mach 1 Mustangs and other cobra jet fords just lined up waiting to be beat on. Some of my older friends worked at the Shell gas station right next to the plant and when the cars where completed, they would be driven off the line, passed the gas station to the holding lot. I heard stories of those cars that I will never forget.

Send Chrysler $45 and they will send you a letter along with a copy of the build card.

As I found out, the scheduled day of production for my car was 5/31, which is the date that was placed on the fender tag, but the car was actually shipped to the dealership on 5/26.
Apparently, the scheduled date was just that, but most cars were produced prior to that date.
Which makes sense as it was ordered, and other parts on the car support that, like the assembly date on the engine of 5/23.
So, my assumption is the car was completed the day it was shipped.
