Got a big time question I really hoping someone can answer. On a 65 Barracuda on the chrome under rear window. That is where the hinge covers are. My driver side cover fit very well over the hinge but passenger side the cover will not fit correctly. When you tighten the 2 screws on the cover to the hinge the front part of hinge raises up in the air and leaves pretty sizeable gap is closed and when trunk is coming open it either hits on the chrome piece and wants to brake the cover or the cover part will either hit when opening or closing but either way it will break it

Did you remove the hinge in the past, It could need to be shimmed. The hinge could be bent.

USED for Mopar 1964 to 1966 A-body Plymouth Barracuda Trunk Hinges | eBay This picture is a pretty good illustration of your hinges. The one furthest left shows how the pins are sometimes broken and sometimes only one end of the pin will break. Also make sure this is not wallowed out. Also check the slotted mounting to make sure the trim piece is in the correct position.
