Should I use grade 8s? Something softer?

I highly double I can find an OEM harmonic balancer today.....

Are you looking for the center or pulley bolts? Put up a wanted ad and someone will reach out.

Well, I'm transferring torque through them to turn a very large hydraulic pump. Thatll need 160-200ftlbs of torque.

Well beyond what the little splash pump and electric spinner needs....

Wasn't sure about the materials against one another regarding harmonic torque/vibrations

You might want to do something different..........like consider if the crank key will take that. If so, you might want to ream and tap the bolts to 3/8

****. Yeah. Didn't consider the key. The other end isn't such an issue....

Hmm.

Maybe a smaller pump. I'm desperate to use this engine/gearbox/frame

Wonder what that key could take?

What are the key specs? Saves me tearing this apart or destroying the key

water pump, an alternator, and a very small oil pump to circulate oil to/from oil cooler. radiator fan is gong electric.

can't find widths or depths on the keys. anyone have one to measure?

i'm transferring torque from crank, through key, through balancer bolts, to pulley, that's welded to a shaft that uses 3/16" key twice before making the pump shaft.

I feel like the mopar is the same if not a bit heavier?

And shaved keys are ok. No broken crankshafts, right?
