Ok one more question about re-using gaskets. My motor was run for a couple minutes I need to pull the head off to put a helicoil in one of the exhaust manifold bolts. I have a new set of head gaskets, but prefer not pull both heads off. Does it matter if my head gaskets do not match? If it does can I resuse the used gasket so they do match. Thanks again

I'd give the re-use a shot. The gaskets must be the same.

Some gasket companys sell head gaskets as a single. My Mr Gasket MLS gaskets came as a single. If you know which gasket you have see if that manufacturer sells it as a single. Or you if they come as a set just buy the same ones you have now and only use only one. It will be the same gasket.

Like Rumble said, put it back on and run it. The engine will never know the head was off unless you tell it. 
I originally bought a complete gasket kit for the motor, the heads were already on so I had an extra set of head gaskets. Pulled the head of, and I really lucked out, same exact felpro gasket was on the motor as the extra set I had sitting in my garage, Same part # identical. Every once in a while things work out.
