Hey All,
I'm going to be looking for an Aluminum Intake to replace my cast iron spread bore factory intake. I have a 318 with 2843675 heads. Can anyone tell me if these heads have a small intake runner or a larger intake runner?

I'll be at Carlisle this weekend and hope to find something there. I know the Eddy LD4B is a small runner intake (square bore) as is the Weiand 8007 (spread bore). I want to get a manifold to match my heads if possible (Yes I know I can gasket match the heads if necessary)

Thanks in advance!

IMO, don't worry about whether it's a small/large port window.

The heads are small window.

Get whatever intake you want and run it.

the performer would be a good one. Crackedback has a nice one for sale.

I also have a nice holley street dominator for sale...:)

Go for the Weiand, same port size, Edelbrocks is bigger. There is one or two for sale here.

Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping to find a Wieand at Carlisle. Half the fun is digging through the swap meet area for stuff. If I can't find one there I know I can always get one here! :walk:

Well, I saw a lot of intakes this weekend, many were Edelbrock Performers. I saw only 2 Wieand dual plane and not what I wanted.

Out of the 30 or so eddys I looked at I found one with even ports on both sides with all ports having a uniform port size. Was there a quality control issue with these manifolds at one point?

I picked up the one good Performer for $100.00 and plan to have it bead blasted to clean up the old paint then clear coat it to keep it looking good.

( saw 3 LD4B manifolds, asking big bucks for those)
