Have a '67 Dart with bucket seats no head rests.
Toying with the idea of adding headrests. Does the entire seat need replaced or just the seat backs?
Thanks to all who respond.

Seat backs the frames are different for the headrests. Same with Barracuda.

Just had a set apart for Todds 67. We wanted to install the headrests into the existing seats . Couldn't do it the frames needed to be changed

@64Dart Disagree... just did this on my '67 and the holes are there in non headrest seats. If you get '67 headrests (1 year only) you can buy the install kit from Classic Ind.

I have more pics of you want.

I had installed headrests in my '67's seatbacks, but it wasn't a great (the way it was done didn't have great support). Eventually I had ABC redo it using a 70 split bench seat back frames modified. The laer seat had latches for the seatbacks. That was the main reason I recall we scavenged the 70 seat frame.

If you look on my webspage here Bench Seat, Headrests & Latches
notice the orignal '67 non-headrest seat back doesn't have the second horizontal bar that is on the '70 seatback to better support the headrest and strengthen the frame.

Here's a 67 that was at Carlisle in 2019. I beleive those are original to the car.

Some more 67 headrest images . Bench seats got a more squared or boxy shaped headrest although some people question whether the ones shown really came from a '67, but I think the answer is probably yes.

Appreciate the responses. Haven't disassembled anything yet to verify if it's possible. As the '67 headrests are a one year only, this might be academic exercise. One year only items make this a challenge.
