Comp sucks. Oregon Cam can regrind your old core for 70 bucks as long as youpick a grind from their list and they have some good ones. They can also reface your old lifters.

whats wrong with Comp? What is the advantage of regrinding a cam, if any?

comp "nitrides", uses a coating on there cams that does not play well with the slant six oil pump gear...

and the advantage of regrinding a cam is that it is 70 bucks vs 150-250... as normal you need to measure for a change in push rods as they may need to machine the base circle down...
 
Well dang. I don't know that we have any cam shops around here. Time to do more homework.

oregon cam grinding does them... lots of praise ive heard for them... probably just put your cam in a tube for posters and tape the crap out of it... nothing to ship
