Headlight chrome paint removal

How do you remove paint from a part that is originally chrome. On my 73 satellite someone who had the car before me painted the chrome piece that fits over the headlights flat black. It there some way I can get the paint off and restore the chrome back to decent shape. Thanks

I would use some laquer thinner, even try paint stripper. Your head light bezel are made of aluminum so becareful. One thing you want to keep in mind is if you have road wear/rash/pitting on your bezel, the paint may be hard to get out of those tiny holes.
