Headman headers flanges

I have a buddy who has some Heddman headers he said I could have as mine are pooched. But he says that they will leak because of the small flanges, they are only 3/16 thick. Has anyone used these, or do all headmans use the thin flanges?
He is a mechanic and swears they will leak unless the really really good gaskets are used...advice!!!!!!

You could just cut the flanges and use a v-band clamp.

I have Hedman Hedders.

My driver's side leaked so i doubled up the gaskets on that side...now the leak is gone.

I also had a bolt clearance issue on that side with one bolt...i should have checked that before i put my engine back in...that caused another headache.

Other than that they worked well for me and the price was right.

Thanks guy's, I am having a hard time here..lets see free headers or buying some nice 340 HP exhaust manifolds for $400.....LOL
Dart man how would the V band clamp work? You mean use them on all 8 tubes?

Silly Man.. Go for the 340 Mani's!! No leaky,no clearance issues, no burnt plug wires, and no scrapie on the road! lol..
