Hello everyone!

I have a Race Car, a Dodge Dart engined Dodge RAM, a 360-V8 "Magnum" with some modifications. Use a crankshaft with 4-inch (408-V8), and I intend to swap the heads (INDY 360-1 CNC-245). I need the "Part Number" of these heads, and also wanted to know if you need more modifications to use these heads in common Magnum Engines! Still on the heads, I would buy them with all the rework necessary to improve them, because I want these heads become very efficient engine in my 408 "Stroker"!

I wonder if the INDY also produces Piston, because I need High Compression for using methanol! As I said, use Block Magnum, Rods with 6.123" and need to 14,5:1 Piston Compression Ratio, using the heads INDY 360-1 CNC-245.

I hope the answers, and the heads of the PN!

Thanks a Lot!

Thanks a Lot!

I would use the 360-2cnc head. It's plenty large enough for what you are doing I think. You'll need a nice large dome, so I would use a custom piston from any manufacturer you like.
I use Ross, Wiseco, CP and JE most of the time. Diamond is also very good.
Those magnum blocks are not the strongest, so hopefully you don't want too much power.
What is your power goal??

Thanks for the explanation!

About the Pistons, I really do have to have custom, to achieve the compression ratio you want!
The car is for drag racing only, and I intend to build this engine's 750 HP!

Currently I use Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, and is yielding just over 600 HP's, even with Engine 360 (3.58"). Now I've made more changes, I changed the second crankshaft with 4.000" stroke, and need others heads!

Thanks!
