Hey guys , can you all tell me the heater hose routing on a 65 barracuda commando v8 with AC. I think previous owners have the two heater hoses switched. on mine the driverside exit on water pump exit ( the pusher side) is going to the heater core on the firewall. shouldn't it go to the vacumn canister heater control valve first before it goes into the heater core? pics would be nice .
Thanks for your help !

Found a pic that I can finally see the routing of the heater hoses.
It appears I do have them routed correctly . it just doesn't seem right though for the high pressure side from pump go directly to the heater core first and then return line from heater core has the vac control valve in route. what do you guys think ?

Stroker402, does that control valve have two vacuum lines attached to it? Do you have a part #for it? If so, where can I get one?

thanks, easyrider

easyrider, see posts № 4, 6, and 8 in this thread.

stroker402, correct heater hose routing has the coolant flowing through the valve before it gets to the heater core. Remember, the heater hose fitting on the water pump sucks coolant in, it doesn't push coolant out.

Hello Easyrider , nice dart !

I found that pic above on the internet. I do have a 2 vac hoses on mine , I'll look and see if I see any numbers on it. I've read they are pretty rare to find and to get one that does not leak is even harder. but there is a guy here that says you can use a one vac hose one but have to do any changing somewhere. I don't recall. but you can do a search here and you will find it. how are your heater hoses routed on your dart?

Oooooh ! OK Dan . So mine is routed correctly then. I thought the hose on the pump was a pusher. my error. Thanks Dan !
