after seeing this I forwarded to the 31 minute-or-so point and saw a couple minutes of stupid.

That's what I meant. Obviously these HAD to be preproduction vehicles heading for the crusher afterwards. I can't imagine Chrysler allowing this any other way.

Nah. It's like they said at the end of the episode, it's no different as it was back in the muscle car era when cars were beat on in movies, they were new so it wasn't a big deal.
