This is my first post in sometime now. Im finally back to work. Been 2 and a half weeks. Been off for approx. 6 months with the back. So far so good. What im posting about is in regards to my wife. She is going to the Dominican to Santiago to do humanitarian aide. She is a Reg. Nurse here in Ontario and while there she will be doing alot of work. From Nursing to actually help build homes. She will be in the areas we dont see unless your lost. We/she could use some help. Our savings and money she had set aside are gone due to me being off work for so long. Im posting only for info on whats going on with me. I DONT want anyone to feel obligated nor do i want to upset/offend anyone with this post. Im doing this because shes my wife and i think its a great cause. If anyone would like to help with this any help would be greatly appreciated. Cost is $2,000 to go. $500.00 is gone for building materials , payment for translater/bodyguard, airfare, food,lodging and traveling while there. Shes to leave mid Nov. 2013 with other collegues. As it stands today she has raised close to $650.00 If she goes over the $2,000.00 all extra money is helping another nurse to go.This is all based out of Oakville, Ontario, canada though powertrips Inc. mission Rotary club of Oakville. Im somewhat nervous to let her go due to needing protection at all times while working but its on her bucket list and id do anything for her. Anyone wanting more info jus PM me. Glad to see ya back stranger!! What about a "fundraiser"?? Im cash strapped, but I have parts and would love to help with an auction/fundraiser??
 
Thanks everyone. I was hoping to raise money here at work. Unfortunately they wont let it happen. I hate doing this sort of thing but im personally involved and believe its a great cause. At least you know that all funds are being used and not going somewhere that are not needed..IE Government. Im not expecting anyone on FABO to do it for us but for the Dominican kids. My idea is this. Im hoping to raise approx. $500.00 myself through here and bottle drives. Im going to cut /shave half my hair and half my goatee and go to work for the day. Yep, i will look weirder than normal:banghead: Im letting the hair grow more to make it worth while. Im posting pics of now and when i do it. Hopefully in Aug. Dam getting hot. I did make a mistake in my first post......Powertrips inc. mission Oakville rotary club. I do not want anyone donating a large amount. I was hoping maybe $5 to $25 max. Steve, thanks. Unfortunately with work and getting caught up around the house and this fundraiser my time to do a auction is going to be very limited. Great idea. Still have the protruded L4L5 disc but its not to bad. Just got to take it easy.
