Finally got a few minutes to say Hi. Been a member a few weeks now,and really enjoy the site. I have a '67 Barracuda convertible that I will be starting a restification on. Right now it has a 273/904/ 7 1/4". I am planning on using a '78 318 with a good freshening,and adding an aluminum intake,TTI headers, hotter cam(any recomendations are welcome) and a better ignition system. I will retain the 904,but go with an aftermarket converter of mild stall. I will also be adding an 8 3/4 SG with either 3:55 or 3:91 gears. I am also thinking of a spring relocation to fit an 8"-10" wheel.
I am looking for a weekend cruiser that will see some dragstrip action. It has to be a fun,streetable combo that can make a 200 mile drive to the beach(if I should ever feel like it) without taking out a second mortgage for broken parts.
I look forward to feedback as far as my goals and parts chosen for this car,as well as anything I might have overlooked. Thanks for the great site,

Welcome aboard sureshot43. It appears that you have a good plan of attack for what you want to do with your car. Keep us posted on your progress. And of course, we need pics. :)
 
Welcome sureshot43, I lived is se Pa as a child....Reading area....lived out by Maple Grove for a short time, about a mile from the strip. Fun times. Sad to see the pool is gone. Took the wife up a couple years back and went through Lancaster Co. she had never saw the Amish before. Beautiful country up there.

Welcome! Sounds like the same plan that I have for my 65 if and when the 273 craps out. Lots of good people here with great info.
