I purchased this rear sway bar a while back, turns out it is a discontinued model, but it was from a private party that had it for years and never got around to installing it. I believe it is a model 6905. Below is a picture of what I have a question about. The instructions say to install it so as to keep the end links as straight up and down as possible. But mine don't look all that straight.

Also, the bracket (flat plate) that mounts to the frame (has the end link mounted to the other end) doesn't look like it is making as good of contact with the frame as it should. (In my opinion)

The last step in the instructions is to drill the frame to line up with the two holes in the bracket and install two self tapping bolts. Before I do the drilling, I was hoping to hear from some of you that have seen or done this type of install before, as I have never done this before.

Passenger side:

Notice in the picture above how the flat plate is only bearing on the end? If I torque it down much further, the plate will 'rotate' up and make the end link angle worsen.

Sorry for the multiple posts.

Does this look like I will have clearance issues?

I would send "Dave@Hellwig" a PM.

Other than that, can you flip the mounts so the flat part is on the inside ? wont help with the angle but I think it would look better. :)

Also what happens if you run the bar across the top of the 8 3/4 instead of under it ?

in any case I think you are ok with what you have. but I would run it by Dave.

good luck,
