I have got everything disconnected except....

There is a spring clip on the back of the cluster that is holding onto the main wiring harness.

I have a few other clusters 68 and up so it might be a bit different.

The 68 up clip looks like this and the orientation is the open end is the top.

There seems to be a plastic slotted piece tapped onto the harness that I can slid back and forth. But I can not figure out how to get it off without breaking it.

Not much room in there for my fat fingers and the harness is blocking access to the screw that holds it to the cluster.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The next thing I'm going to try is to slide it all the way toward the rear of the car, the up, then toward the front of the car.

Well that was the ticket.

I just lifted up and pulled the harness forward harder.
