Help! 727 Tailshaft removal

Good Afternoon, I'm trying to remove the tailshaft from a 727. I have the bolts removed, but understand there is a clip that I need to remove also. Can someone help me? Thanks. Dave

If you remove the rear trans mount you will see two philips head screws on the tailshaft holding on a metal plate. Remove the screws and the plate, under it is an access hole to get at the clip on the tailshaft support bearing. You will need a snap ring pliers that expands the ring to release it from the bearing, and then pull the tailshaft housing off.

also have it in park so the rod for the parking pawl is out of its detent.
