My throttle cable frayed and I want to order one right away but don't have the old one out yet. How long is the cable on a 68 Barracuda? I see manicini lists one that is 27" or 29" (they give both lenghts in the same description but it says 67 and up)

I bought a Mancini 24" stainless steel throttle cable, and I basically cut it in half for it to fit. I'm not sure how any car would need over 24". If you just need a good looking and very nice functioning throttle cable then I would recommend the one I got. If you're looking for something that looks original then I don't really know what to tell you.

I never replaced one before....can you just cut them to your length?

Yeah, the way Mancini makes their cables, the linkage that hooks up to the carb is removable, it is clamped on to the inner cable with an allen head screw. Basically you just cut the inner cable and the braided steel sleave to length and then clamp the linkage back on, it's fairly simple actually. (I did it! :happy7: )
