I’ve got a pair of these heads and I’m wondering what they are exactly?
They came with a project I got and I want to sell them so that I can fund another engine swap. Maybe a price range I could shoot for too? Thanks!

Good heads. I picked up at least 2 tenths switching from unported 587 heads with 1.88/1.60 valves to unported Indy LAX with 1.92/1.625 valves with 4-5cc smaller chambers. Head prep & the rest of the engine stayed the same.

Are they cast iron?

Pretty nifty how they move the rocker shaft over and up. Dan Dvorak sold rocker stands for 426 Hemi that did that same move.

They are better than any original production head, XJ etc. they have been out of production for many years. The tooling was lost when Indy changed hands and they will not be produced again. They have just recently been approved for FAST, but no one wanted them. They are clearly a performance advantage over the other heads. At least no one I know. If you want cast iron that will run stock intake/ exhaust parts. They can be pretty good. Closed chamber, better exhaust port…… I’m leaving now.:):):)

price to for those heads setup with beehive springs and nice valves was similar to similar to edelbrock heads.

Would these heads be a bad choice for a 360 or 408 in a 86 Ram 4x4? I’d like it to be pretty tame and run 87 octane if possible. I want the truck to be a daily driver.

Theyll be fine if you can get the compression low enough. Maybe a dish piston with a step for quench. Run on 87? Maybe 9:1-ish with a wide lsa cam.
