Hello... I need to replace the window stabilizer guides on my 1972 Duster. I can only find new ones for E-Bodies but no place seems to carry them for the A-body. Any help is appreciated.

The part is located inside the door. It rests against the window and guides it when cranking it up and down. It has a "fuzzy" material at the end that rides against the glass. The scew that locks it in place is located under the plastic rectangle trim that says "Duster" and attcahes to the interior of the door. I attached a picture of one of mine. As you can see, the end that is supposed to slide on the glass is in bad shape. Any help is appreciated...

Thanks!

If you contact glue felt over those they last another 40 years. :D
Several members including myself have fixed them this way over the years.

That's a great idea. Let me add this, I have an expensive window film applied to the windows to cut the solar heat from the sun here in Florida (3M Crystalline). It scratches easily and I am concerned that the window rubbing on the felt, even under some slight pressure, over time may cause a band of fine scratches in the film that will look like a dull band. Is this small part really necessary? The window seems fine without it. Not loose or wobbling. Can I leave it out?

The window won't be quite as stabile without it, but I understand your concern about window film as I also have it.
The thing is, the whisker strip will do the same thing over time but over the entire window without those supports and the only thing I could come up with is to fab rubber rollers on those supports instead of felt or whisker material.
I have not done it, but it is the only solution I could come up with and we still have the whiskers rubbing it.
Using Armor all on the window film helps a lot to keep the marring down.
