I had to make mine from scratch. It wasn't easy, but not impossible.

Does anyone have a photo of the crossection?

I was thinking that maybe later model might fit , not do much!

I got mine from Layson's. It's the non-convertible version, but, they fit fine. There's a slight bit more metal exposed on the inner windshield frame is the main difference. I posted some photos of the difference a few months ago. If you do a search, you should be able to find it. There's probably other suppliers too, but, Layson's had a good discount at the time. As far as I know, nobody makes a genuine convertible one.

As you say they do not exist, a few on the internet claim to have "convertible" windshield weatherstrip but they are not. I would get it from Detroit Muscle Technologies. Jim will only sell brands he would use on his own car.

Thanks, I got one that said "not for convertibles" when I tore the car down years ago and was afraid would destroy it and be stuck if I tried. What a relief!

Hi Guys,

I don't know if this should be a new post or to keep the info on this strip in one place.
On my car (1965 Canadian Valiant Custom 200, RHD), this strip is missing and I will need to make one from scratch. The other problem is that these cars were never sold in South Africa so finding a sample to copy has zero possibility.
I have figured out the curve of the profile and now am looking for cross-section Dimensions. From the previous pics above, I have tried reversing the dimension out of them but cant get to something concrete.

So.... My Question is I need the dimension for:

GREEN = The inner height
RED = The inner width
Orange = The outer total height at the center of the bulkhead.

Thanking you in advance,

Tom

working on that very same thing, but in ABS, It'll never rust again for my 2 convertibles and others. Along with the wings . I'm 1k miles away and heading home this weekend and can get those dimensions if you really need it by then.

Thank You 66Dvert much appreciated. Once I have the dimensions, I can insert them into my drawing and start creating the strip.
