I have a 70 dart that Im going to drive while I restore my 67 dart. ? is I have a found a super six set up at a pick n pull and was wondering would this motor benifit from it. My car has a new 2'' exhaust from head pipe back. Would milling the heads .090 give me a increase with this combo. i dont want to get to extreme with upgrades. What kind of increase in power from the super six and milling the heads give me?
 
I cannot answer about the Head work but I can say this:
Just opening up the Exhaust and going to the 2 bbl made a world of difference on my 225! Much better mileage and a noticeable increaese in pep.

PS: Do not forget to get ALL the Carb and Kickdown Linkages and Brackets!
 
Thanks, I just see alot of people taking about milling the heads.I didnt know if the super six alone would be worth it. But I'm glad to hear it is.
 
Super six is the way to go unless you are planning some major head work. Even with major head work a super six is great. Dont forget to recurve your distributor as this will really "help" to get it up and moving.
As stated before make sure you get the kickdown rod and linkage from the transmission to the carb (even if you dont want or need it). Ill take it if you dont want it.

I will have to get you to show or tell me about the how to's on recurve some day Frank :cheers:
 
Just got back from pick n pull got all the parts buyt the throttle cable it was frayed pretty bad and wasnt worth getting. Know I have to get the bolts between the intake and exhaust out both of them broke off. Is the holley 2280 standered carb on a super six? The one I got is a holley but the only numbers i found are 8691 and 3511? Post sum picks soon.
