Help Removing Shifter Console 65 Cuda

My Fellow Moparians
Have run into trouble removing the shifter console from 65 Barracuda automatic.
Cannot get the shifter ball off, is it a press on? Does not seem to be a set screw set up, appears to be square tip, so not threaded end, ANYONE?????
Afaid to yank on it and break it, and can't seem to figure any other option for getting this thing out. All help will be appreciated,

I can't help you with the removal process for the shifter ball, but I'll give you a bump back to the top. And welcome to the site.

In the front of the black ball is a small hole where an allen screw is hiding. Remove the allen and the ball will slide the top!
