Few questions about the kick panels on my 66 dart 270 4 dr. The driver side appears to be original as I see the sewn edge (with vinyl missing). There is insulation beneath which also looks original however it sure makes the panel stick out a bit. How is the panel supposed to attach to the frame and how thick is that insulation?

Now for my main question, the passenger side, the kick panel is gone. Is it a mirror copy of the driver side or isn't it slightly different? Any ideas how I could get a tracing of the pass. side so i can make something? has anyone put their tracing online???

Last questions, is the metal sill plate supposed to go ontop of the kick panel, or does panel rest on top of it?
thanks FABO

1. insulation is about 1" thick
2. just 2 screws that hole it to the door pillar post.
3. you can get some really thin vinyl at jo-ann fabrics(not the thicker stuff for seats and such) or use door guard molding and a heat gun to help curve the plastic to fit.
4. both sides are the same just mirrored. I think the hole on the passengers side is for the antenna cablwe to go through but and not sure about that.
5, panel goes underneath and sill plate goes over
