Howdy,
Please post a picture of your Vinyl molding Plastic clip and stud arrangement.

My 69 dart originally came with a vinyl top and the lower Molding. At some point during it's life someone removed the top and the molding in favor of paint. To accomplish this the molding clips were also removed and the studs were cut out and the holes were hammered down and welded.

I want to return the Vinyl top and trim molding. Luckily, I was able to locate the holes from underneath identified by the welds. The Guy's straightened the metal and marked the holes.

My car is ready for paint but before I move forward want to figure out how to approach the the trim mounting points. There are two styles available on the internet Metal and Plastic.

Jim's carries the plastic clips but it does not come with the Studs.

I would greatly appreciate any photos showing the "stud" ,the "Plastic clip" and the Clip attached to the stud. So I can figure out what I need to weld in before I go to paint.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm not suggesting you should pull your trim off to snap shots... Old pictures are welcome. :)
Thanks again.

1969 Dart did not have the pins and plastic clips. They use a metal clip with a screw. Contact R/Tspecialties. They have the right clips. I just went through this.

Thanks Furyus2! I spoke with Tom at RT today (Real nice guy) and he said the same.

II picked up a clip set and a few other odds and ends he helped with.
