Help with spark plug tube

Hi
I have a 1974 / 6 with about 60k Mi. on it. I want to change the gaskets on the spark plug tubes, but I can't get them out. What is the trick? Thanks for now.

I use a cut down wooden dowel (broom stick) and GENTLY stick in n the tube and pry side to side until the gasket breaks loose. If that doesnt do it pry up the edge with a sharp gasket remover. BE CAREFUL.
