Just a quick question have seen a couple of hemi boat engines for sale, can they be used in a car or are they different. Engines are of 60s vintage probably 392?

I have seen an ad for 426 Hemi Marine engines, but I've never, ever heard of one in a boat. So, my guess is, yeah, it would be a baby hemi...not necessarilly a 392..they came in all kinds of sizes, and Desoto made them too.

426 hemis were used in boats quite often along with early hemis of various sizes. There are parts that need to be swapped to use these engines in a car, but it's a good place to start.

I had a early 60's boat with a 354 hemi. Some marine engines are counter rotating which is easy to change to normal rotation by changing to a standard camshaft.

Can any one help have found engine number to tell me what size engine is?
