Anyone see the commercial with the hemi pick-up
truck pulling a DUSTER!!! off the rode to a gas station.
That one kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, why did
they have to use a Duster?? The average Joe is going
to think Dusters are junk. I really like my Duster and this
commercial makes them look junkie. They could have
used a beat up K-car or something. of a brand x. 8)

I kinda thought that too of the first hemi truck commercial when that white duster with the 2 knuckleheads couldn't even beat the loaded down truck off the line.

Why do you have to pick on K-Cars?

Hey Walter, How's the K Kar coming along? You might need some wheelie bars for it.
I'm still trying to figure out where you are at just from the pics.

I didn't see that one yet but there's another one where all the new Rams are running down the highway and hitting a jump and the white Duster comes flying over it at the end!
Thought that was pretty cool! :thumleft:

Too cold to work on it... I figured out the engine was too low the last time I looked at it. No room for oil pan, barely enough room for stock oil pump.
I need to re-do the motor plate and mid mount.

Did't mean to pick on K-cars I had an 83 wagon with the little
hemi and it was a strong runner but the body literally fell apart
after about 15 Chicago winters. Did'nt think anybody pro-streeted
them anymore. 8)

That was one of my guesses, I was trying to narrow it down.
I bought my road runner from a guy that lived in there.
I hear you about it being to cold. I started unbolting the tranny and gave up for now.
What engine are you putting in it?

I have the 400 block it came with sitting in there for fit up. It came with a 440 cast crank cut for a B motor. I may use that in a stroker 383. My plan is to put a 383 I keep around to keep things moving in the K. When it is ready the Dart 383 will end up in the K. The stroker 383 or a bigger stroker (I am waiting to hear back from someone on their old 4.150 crank and pistons for a 496/400) will go in the Dart.
I want to clean and paint the Dart once the K is race ready.
