1987 Dodge Colt E - $500 (Spokane)

The car is in pretty rough shape, but it drives well and gets around 35 mpg. Her name is Gertrude, and she might not be the prettiest girl at the dance but she always shows up.

Pros:
Professionally installed CD/AM/FM with Aux cable.
Hatchback is great for grocery trips.
Seats 4 or 2 with folding rear seats.
Rough appearance makes merging easier: other cars will give you plenty of space.

Cons:
Leaks oil.
Smokes badly on occasion.
No synchro into 3rd gear can be difficult for new drivers.
Lots of cracks in the windshield.
Doors do not lock.
Drivers side window does not roll down.
Rolling on de-studded winter tires.
Vent selector is broken, defrost is activated by pulling a cord.

I've driven the car in this condition for over 3 years now. I've replaced the drivers side transaxle, timing belt, and a few other minor repairs. The exhaust system is entirely replaced from a '64 Rambler. I don't know that the car would pass emissions (I've lived outside Spokane city limits the whole time I owned it), but I believe 1987 falls outside the testing requirements.

This vehicle is sold AS IS.

If you're still reading, the price is $500, but I'm willing to take a reasonable offer.

Yeah what 'PILE'...

$500 for an 1940# factory body with an drag coefficient of .39 ,

The above before 'mods' of course...

You 'racing gurus' go look up the history, & post back lmfao.

Well aware, which is why I clicked on it to start with. Any of that, tho is far beyond my budget
