Looking for an alternative contact for Herb's parts. Having trouble at the "checkout" says that there are no shipping options to my location - Canada. Emails keep bouncing back as undeliverable and I am overseas right now so it is not feasible to call them.

They have several parts that I can only find on their online store so am keen to get this resolved.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan.

Hey Bryan, get in touch with another fabo member that is located close to Herb's parts, have them shipped there and then have the fabo member fwd them to you. I have done this before and for me it was cheaper(shipping) as the couriers pour it to you when they come across the border. Do yourself a favor and stress you want it shipped via US post office....NO COURIERS!!

Sounds good - thanks for the advice. The website says they ship to Canada via USPS and as you have stated that is the only way to go.

I will see if anyone living close will do me the favour.

Bryan.

Steve is right. DO NOT USE FEDEX OR UPS TO SHIP FROM US TO CANADA OR VICE VERSA. They will bend you over and charge you up the *** for "brokerage fees". they will call you and tell you a fee and then hit you up for more later. Their first quote is an estimate and they say it is the maximum when in actuallity it is only like 2/3 of what your "final" cost will be. Definately go with regular US and Canadian post office. (If you want to keep your money).

Yup - definitely found out the hard way about UPS and other couriers. USPS and Canada Post have an agreement not to charge brokerage fees as they handle enough of each others business.

Bryan, I ordered once from Herbs, and I won't again. Too slow and my stuff went missing. I ordered a bunch of little things like screw and bumper bolt kits, and heater hose/vents. Like anywhere else I asked for USPS for shipping to not get screwed at the boarder, so after a couple weeks I got a package from them and thought that was quick enough, only to open it and find 2 out of 7 items were in the package and note on the invoice stating the rest will be shipped from manufacturer directly. Another 3-4 goes by and still nada. I phone, he looks into it and gets back to me and says must be lost. We'll ship again. So in total close to 2 months.
I was choked that no-one told me while ordering that they dont keep inventory/items backordered or that I'd be waiting on stuff to show up direct. Just glad I wasn't in a hurry and odds are you won't have any issues but I thought I should share my experience.
We have PG Classics, National Moparts & RPM to order from in Canada. I've used Year One and Dantes in States, but shipping sucks. Laysons Restorations in Washington State will ship postal and Rick is very helpfull, I've heard negative things about the owner though.
What are you looking for?

Rod,
Sounds like a pretty bad experience. I will try to ensure it doesnt happen to me.

I am ordering much the same parts as you, bumper bolt kits, arm rest bases, dash vent kit, inner fender splash shields, sunvisors, etc.

National moparts has some of the stuff. The only place that has everything is Herb's, so was hoping that getting it from one spot would save on shipping and other hassles.

Bryan.

you give them a call at 302 376 8508, FAX 302 376 8602 or email them at [email protected].....

Bob,
As originally posted being overseas I cannot easily call or fax Herb's. The email address you provided is different from the one listed on their web page and I have had success with that. So thank you!!

Cheers,
Bryan.
