That cost really is not that out of line. Could figure about 10-15 of that is labor from machining, cleaning and assembly. Parts are expensive for the quality stuff.
I would like to but that's a lot of money. lol but I do know how the saying goes. I was just comparing the gen3 hemi because the 422 with 730 Hp cost $26,000 or you could buy a stroked, blown gen3 hemi with 872 HP for $500 more. John, are you saying gen3 hemis dont make good bracket engines or blown Gen3 hemis dont make good bracket engines? I have never had a engine with a power adder. so i probaly dont know what i am talking about.lol
Hey that sounds perfect for me then. Lol I suck at bracket racing. LolI see very few of the blown Gen 3’s at the track on race day. I’m betting they get very inconsistent going rounds on race day. Kind of a test n tune toy out trying for “new bests”

Yes it is. But I usely beat my self in the first round. My friends call me the red light bandent. LolMe too but I sure have fun and like the competition

Lol .
There's over 10 grand for the block and topend alone. 26,000 sounds very reasonable to me for 730 hp from carb to pan.J
John I called them today and the sales lady said it was $26,000
Ran W5 heads for years with Jessel stuff, never an issue with X blockNice parts, price is inline for that type of build. I've never heard great things about the offset lifter in a 59 degree block
This build is very similar to the 422 small block in my Arrow, except I'm using a 340 X block & W5 heads. Bullet cam .685/.682 275/284 with 1.5 rockers, 13.0 to 1 compression. Port matched and blended Indy 360 rectangular port intake with Thumper 1050ish Dominator. Be interesting to know what they want for this.
What’s your bore size? I could do the backwards math but I’m just not into it today lol.
